AES 0118 Below the Stars

The night sky always mesmerizes me, a endless reminder of how vast and mysterious the universe is. I remember getting excited to visit my Oma house, just to hear her stories about the universe.

A few nights ago, I went stargazing while camping. As the night goes on, the skies cleared, and I lost myself remembering about those old conversations with my grandma. She always encouraged me to ask questions, to stay curious, to never stop learning about the universe. It's such a pleasure to have her on my life.

There’s something about stargazing that makes the world feels like it stopped spinning. Mind slows down, and I feel peace. It’s in those quiet moments under the vast night sky that I realize how small we are, yet how infinite our curiosity can be. Each star twinkling above feels like a tiny portal, a reminder of all the questions my Oma and I used to ponder, about the universe, and what lies beyond what we see.  

I remember how she would smile whenever I bombarded her with endless “whys” and “hows.” She never had all the answers to my answerless questions, but she made sure I knew that the search itself was just as important. 

That night, lying beneath the night sky, I wished I could tell Oma how much her stories shaped me. How her love for learning became mine. How every time I look up at the sky, I don’t just see stars, I see memories, curiosity, and a little bit of her wisdom shining back at me.

I really adore the night sky, will never get bored of it.
