AES 15: It's Time to Forgive

zalikasoebardjopenulis arsip2

Forgive yourself for the way you treated yourself in the past. For the way you talked to your body. For the way you vilified the way your mind worked when you're dealing with anxiety, overthinking or even depression or anything that was haunting it. Forgive yourself for the way that you settled for less than what you wanted, desired or knew you needed, because you didn't think you deserved it, because you convinced yourself. You convinced yourself that somewhere along the lines, that you were not worthy of beauty in life, that you were not worthy of happiness and goodness or having the things you wanted. Forgive yourself for the way you held yourself back because you didn't believe in your own potential, because you didn't believe in your own capacity to take up space.

Forgive yourself for all the things you didn't say, didn't wear, or didn't do because you were too afraid of how it would make you look in other people's eyes. Life has its norms, but what's wrong with wearing your favorite shirt, what's wrong with wearing some cool pair of sunglasses, what's wrong with feeling the way you feel? Nothing is wrong with all of that. Forgive yourself for the way you didn't show up for yourself.

Promise to yourself that you will always say "Tomorrow will be better", but what if it's not? Then say it again tomorrow. Because it might be. You never know, right? At some point tomorrow will be better.

He embodies many things that I deeply admire: unwavering commitment to peace, justice, and ethical diplomacy. He showed that leadership is not just about…

AES 47: 7 minutes

They say that after death, the human brain lives for seven minutes. Seven minutes where time bends and stretches, just enough time to replay our best memories. The moments that made us feel most alive. The laughs, the hugs, the late-night talks, the quiet peace of being with someone who just gets y…
