AES 25: I think it's beautiful

When they say words are beautiful, I concede it. To produce them, I let my fingers pirouette to the rhythm and it's more therapeutic that way. They move to convey thoughts and emotion that the sound of my voice cannot reach, the words I can't say out loud, the words I only scream inside my mind. 

I think it's beautiful, the way you show up in this world, unguarded and willing to try again, despite all of the ways it has tried to defeat you. The way you tuck courage into yourself each morning even if you're not feeling yourself at that time, the way you refuse to be anything but hopeful in this world, despite the inner battles you fight, despite the struggles you have experienced for so long. 

I think it's beautiful that there is a resounding level of courage to be found in being the person who continues to heal, even when it hurts. There is a resounding level of bravery to be found in being the person who believes in the light, even when they cannot see it. 

To produce words, we let our minds take over until our bodies react. Seeing the beauty in our daily experiences involves writing about the details of what's been happening in our minds. Understanding who we truly are, what we feel, and what we want requires pouring out the contents of our minds into writing. We care too much about what people think, what are they going to think when they see our writing? But the truth is, no one really cares about what we write. But you know who really cares? We do. Without realizing it, we begin to feel a connection between our hearts and minds, caring more about even the simplest things we do, all of that is from reading what we have poured into words. beautiful words.
