AES13 My Interest in Reading
I’ve never really liked reading, but recently because of covid I actually really enjoy reading. Maybe back then I never found good books and I can’t find references. But now because Im on TikTok, many people are talking about these books that are actually so good. I have been really interested in fantasy, romance, mystery, philosophy, feminism, and psychology.
I read many fiction books that have those points. I am currently reading A little life by Hanya Yanagihara. This book is about the lives of four friends in New York City from college through to middle age. It focuses particularly on Jude, a lawyer with a mysterious past, ambiguous ethnicity, and unexplained health issues.
Jude experienced many forms of childhood abuse, even through his 30s he still experienced some form of abuse. He has a long journey in his mental health, but I really like his character. If it’s possible for me to meet Jude, I really want to give him a hug that man really needs a hug. Im only halfway through the book, the book is about 800 pages.
Most books that I read are in English so it has been really helping me to improve my English. I learn new words or even some new slang that I never knew. I love when books are just relatable and how I can find many beautiful quotes in them. There are many quotes from books that I’ve read that are and always will be close to my heart. I never thought that I would ever read for fun, and here I am, now reading is part of my daily routine.
