AES30 It’s Just a Theory

Ricopenulis arsip2

Many experiments may prove me right,

But it only takes one to prove me wrong.

-Albert Einstein-

The beauty of science is that it provides us with reality. Through decades of research, the smartest people in the world seek to understand the Universe through the means of evidence, not just speculation.

Scientists are the most open-minded people out there, because every evidence is treated fairly, they don’t pick and choose which facts seem to support their beliefs, and cast aside the ones that don’t. Because Science is objective, it doesn’t assume it knows the answer even before it asks a question.

A Scientific Theory is an explanation of the natural world that can be used to explain past events and predict future occurrences. A theory must be able to be tested again and again, with different objective circumstances, to determine if it is accurate.

In our everyday vocabulary, theory is just a guess, a speculation, nothing substantial. In Science however, it’s the opposite.  A Scientific Theory that still holds up today, means that after decades of testing, it continues to be proven right in every imaginable situation.

Science doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but it tries every day to find them.
