AES38 Miss Americana

So I watched Miss Americana and it was actually good. Miss Amerikana is basically a  documentary film of Taylor Swift about her career and how it affects her personal life. I really love Taylor and I think she is such an amazing and creative person. Taylor first started as a country artist, she loved music as a child and she just started writing songs. And then she became bigger and bigger, but her journey in the industry isn’t quite smooth. 

Taylor’s album 1989 was such a huge hit, I was on number one of the most streamed albums for 6 weeks. But just as I said, the things that happened to her are just. So Taylor won the best female music video at the 2009 VMAs and Kanye West decided to crash the stage and he basically ruined Taylor’s speech. Kanye mentioned that he thinks Beyonce has one of the best music videos of all time. I mean I could just imagine how Taylor would feel, and she was just 19 at the time. 

As worst as that sound’s other bad things were coming. Kanye West released his song “Famous” and in the lyrics, he said “I feel like me and Taylor might still have ***Why? I made that b**** famous". He said that Taylor already agreed and she doesn’t have any problem with those lyrics. Kim Kardashian posted on Snapchat a video of Kanye on a call with Taylor. But that wasn’t the whole call, and Taylor asked Kanye to send her the finished version of the song before publishing but he didn’t. So when Taylor talked about this people said that he was playing the victim. The #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty was trending on Twitter worldwide. We all know how many tweets must be to be trending worldwide.  All of those tweets are just calling Taylor fake, even Kim Kardashian posted a tweet with snake emojis basically calling Taylor a snake. 

After that all went down Taylor just disappeared, she didn’t go anywhere for a whole year. She also deleted all of her posts on Instagram, she was just so shocked by what just happened. But at that period of time, she fell in love with her current boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Joe really helped Taylor to go through everything that’s happening. 

Taylor started working on reputation, the album that capped back on what people said about her. With songs like “look what you made me do” and “I did something bad”. She also made a tour for reputation, and that made her strong again. But at the same time, her mom was battling cancer, so it was still something hard for her. But she learned that she should stop listening to what people say and focus on her friends and family. 

She also shares her political views and she thinks that involving herself in politics is very important. Because she knows that she has a platform and she needs to get good use out of her platform. She also shares how the media is always judging every single aspect of her life. Judging her body, her dating life, or even her choice in fashion. 

I think Miss Americana is a good movie that is worth watching, especially if you’re a swiftie. Or if you are even just some that like music or mental health, or feminism I think this is so interesting.
