AES76 Red (Taylor's Version)
So Taylor just released her album Red (Taylor’s version) and I am beyond obsessed with this album. One of my favorite songs is all too well, especially the 10-minute version. Can you believe that she created a 10-minute song, and she also made a short film to go with it. My inner swiftie is literally screaming. I think Taylor did an amazing job, and the 10-minute version of all too well made me cry so hard, that im not too well. Also, her voice sounds so mature compared to the original version of Red.
I also love the from the vault songs, They are basically songs that were originally supposed to be on the album but didn’t make it because of some reasons. One of my favorites is Nothing New ft. Phoebe Bridgers, this song is so deep. Most of the songs on this album I can’t really relate to because I’ve never been in a relationship so I don’t really get these things. But on the song Nothing New, there is this one verse that just hit me. It’s “How can someone know everything at 18 but not at 22?” For me, this is what I felt like last year.
Last year, I was in 9th grade and I felt my life dropping. But when I was in 8th grade I was doing so well, I felt like my self-confidence was better, I explored feminism, it was just wonderful. But when I was in 9th grade I felt like my life was just falling apart. I remember so lost, and so disappointed in myself. It’s like, I had everything doing so well last year but why are things falling apart now. I think that’s what that verse is trying to say.
About the all too well short film, it’s amazing it is brilliant. Taylor actually write that film and she also directed it. It’s staring Dylan O’Brien you may know him from the maze runner, and also Sadie Sink that you may know from stranger things, and of course starring Taylor Swift. The short film is about 14 minutes long, and it has a 4,8/5 rating. And that is an extremely high rating. You can watch it for free on youtube, but I wouldn’t recommend someone under the age of 15 to watch this because it does contain swearing and some more intense things.
