AES54 How anxiety affects my physical health

People usually assume that mental health and physical health doesn’t really affect each other, or that one is less important than the other. I’ve many people that have serious physical health issues, and because of that they also struggle with their mental health. I mean that is pretty obvious, but many people I’ve met, think that mental health issues are just on our minds. Many people are shocked when I explain how anxiety and trauma affect my physical health.
When I ask people, what physical health issues that they think can be caused by mental health issues. The most common answer is headaches, but they think it’s just like a normal headache. For me personally, I get headaches pretty often because I just get them when Im feeling anxious. So it feels like your kinda floating but it can also feel like there’s someone trying to crack your head open.
People usually don’t believe me when I say I have stomach issues due to my anxiety. I mean you can kinda see the connection between anxiety and your brain that causes headaches. So how can anxiety give me serious stomach issues?
Anxiety also releases a stress hormone (cortisol), which causes the body to produce extra levels of stomach acid. That acidity causes the lining of the esophagus to become irritated, and this can lead to stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting, and in severe cases, stress-induced ulcers. For me, this usually leads to extreme stomach pain or throwing up. The annoying part is like I need to go to the bathroom to throw up, so when Im in a formal event I need to kinda hold it in. Because like I will take a long time in the bathroom.
Over the years of dealing with anxiety, I obviously cry a lot and at some point, my eyes would be so puffy to the point where it’s hard for me to open my eyes and they keep watering. That was really a big struggle because I needed to read my assignment but I could barely open my eye.
I also experience extreme chest pain, it feels like someone is pressing on my chest. So it feels like someone is squeezing my lungs. I usually experience this while before or after im throwing up, and it’s really annoying when these symptoms kinda collaborate. I mean just imagine you crying, having extreme chest pain, throwing up while ur stomach hurts, and you also have a headache at the same time.
This is one of my experience, so it was in the 9th grade I was doing like a math test. It was 2 hours long, it was probably one of the worst 2 hours in my life for the last 3 years. When I was doing the test I felt my temperature rising, and my legs were shaking. My chest hurt so badly, I was struggling to breathe. After the test was finished, I was so dizzy but I wanted a glass of water. So I took a glass and I was walking to get the water. But then when I was picking my glass up and I was walking to my room. My legs were like shaking and I feel just like that, and I broke the glass. About 2 hours after that I had a fever.
Some people will think that im making this up. If I can be completely honest, I wish I was making this up, but im just telling the truth. I really wanted to share this so that hopefully I can raise awareness about this issue and how these symptoms of anxiety are so real. We should trust and support people who are struggling.

I let go of....., I release my.... Semoga membantu
Thank you yaa tantee, nanti akan saski cobaa.
